Probationary Membership process

MBNC is an Equal Opportunities club – see “A guide for private clubs and associations” at

and we welcome applications from all – whether male, female, single, couple, or family.

We do not operate waiting lists, and we do not discriminate against anyone on grounds of marital status, race, religion/belief (including lack of), ability/disability, sex/gender, sexual orientation, politics, or age.

To become a Member, you first need to contact our Secretary 07467 246690 or email to arrange a visit to Silverglades as a Prospective Member

We need to know the following details about you. (We require this information for our insurance and our security. We do not share any of your information with third parties, and we promise to never send you any spam!)

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Home address
  • A landline phone number where you can be reached, preferably for the above address to prove residency; or your mobile number if no landline is available
  • We will need at least several days notice to arrange for a club member to meet you at Silverglades. Please give the preferred date/time of your visit

You will also be asked to provide photo ID and proof of address (eg a recent utility bill in your name). We do not keep copies, we just want to ensure you are who you say you are.

We will arrange for a Committee Member to be present for your visit, to open the gate and clubhouse for you. After your visit to Silverglades you may apply to become a Probationary Member. If accepted, you will be given the access codes for the gate and clubhouse, and the website password. You will receive club Newsletters by email. You may attend Silverglades unaccompanied, any time you wish. You are still required to record your attendance (“sign in”) every time you visit, using the Signing-in Book in the clubhouse. If you stay overnight, must sign in again each morning. This is necessary for our insurance and so that we know who is using the site.

Becoming a Full member

Your Probationary Membership period normally lasts 12 months from your date of joining, although this may be extended in exceptional cases, for example if a new member has been unable to attended sufficiently often during their probationary year.

At the end of your Probationary year, the Committee may accept you as a Full Member.

Signing-in is still required. Full Members can vote at the AGM and serve on the committee.

Membership fees

British Naturism

All members of MBNC are encouraged to join BN (if not already a member).

British Naturism (BN) is the internationally recognised UK national Naturist organisation. It exists to unite and support Naturists; to protect, and provide more Naturist venues; to make social nudity acceptable in the UK; and to provide comprehensive information on Naturism and Naturists around the world.

MBNC does not keep a stock of BN application forms (as they change each year) but you complete their online application form by clicking here
